I like mainly to work with illustration and watercolor. As a watercolorist, I like both the challenge and beauty of watercolor. As an illustrator, I like to work with depictive art. I like to work with pictures that have story content besides all the elements of design that make a good painting.

I have always been interested in visual art and about fifteen years ago I began to draw and paint with a serious desire to make a difference both in my own life and hopefully in the lives of others too.

This is the last painting I completed a few months ago. I have worked on it on and off for over a year.. The size is 32 X 40 inches.

The inspiration for my art comes from the great Indian spiritual heritage. Classics like Bhagavat Purana, Mahabharata and the Ramayana are a veritable treasure house for any sincere seeker of wisdom and spirituality.

In my art I like to be true to to my conviction that the descriptions in this ancient literature are for real.

How do you paint something wich is not visible to our eyes? The spiritual dimension of reality is very different from from our experience of this world although it is explained in these ancient sanskrit text that this world is but a reflextion of the real spiritual existance. My desire is to be able to share my visions through watercolor paintings and illustrations.

Most of all I like to draw and paint Krishna in Vrindavana. There is a sweetness to the narrations of Krishna's pastime in Vrindavana that cannot be described in words. It is however something that all of us can relish in our hearts.

I'm convinced that every person has a special gift for himself anf for the world and it can take some time before you know what your gift is . When you discover that you can live a more fullfilling and satisfying life because you understand and accept your own uniqueness. This is not something like. " Oh, look at me. I am this or that." No, you understand that it is a gift and you want to use it and share it with others.

The ancient Indian epic, Ramayana, is a great challenge for me to illustrate. This work forces me to learn more about perspective, anatomy of the human body, bodies in motion, facial expressions, animals, monsters and so much more.

This website is made in loving service to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, whose teaching changed my life.
